This week was a good week for Snowmobilers and ATV’ers alike for those residing in Elkhart, County, Indiana. On Monday Deak Thornton with the Indiana Snowmobile Association and Lavon Bender with the Elkhart County Snowmobile club stood before the Board of Commissioners and outlined why they felt legislation should be passed to adopt a draft that would allow snowmobiles and ATV to legally operate on any unincorporated road within the county. Following the hearing the County Commissioners voted upon this measure. It passed unanimously and as soon as April 15th it will be legal to safely ride the county roads. Win, Win for these interest groups. May we all be responsible riders. Remember though you must be registered with the state and have your sticker on!!
